Have mice in your home and want to get rid of them? One of the first things you are going to want to do is set up some mouse traps and try to catch them before they cause damage. Here are some tips for getting the job done.
Get Them To Eat The Food
It's a good idea to start the process by putting out the bait in a trap that is not set to go off. This will not only make the mice comfortable when it comes to eating the bait but will also encourage them to come back on a second night when the trap is set.
Use The Right Bait
Many people have the idea that the best bait you can put in a mousetrap is cheese. While it is often shown in cartoons that you can catch a mouse with cheese, it's not the best bait for the job. Consider using a softer material, like peanut butter, which the mouse has to work for once it is on the trap. This will cause the trap to move just enough to cause the trap to go off while the mouse is eating it.
In addition, you do not want to use too much bait. If there is a big glob of peanut butter on the trap, then the mouse is not going to set off the trap. They are going to slowly eat what is there and then walk away unscathed. A small amount, no bigger than the size of a pea, will be more likely to cause the trap to stop working.
Place Them Against The Wall Properly
Another trick to catching mice is to place the trap against the wall in the right manner. You want that end with the bait to be facing the wall so that it gets right in front of the nose of the mouse as they are walking towards it. This will make the mouse more likely to eat the bait, rather than walk around the trap and miss the bait completely. It may seem counterintuitive, but it works to catch more mice.
Spread Out Your Traps
It's important to have multiple traps set out to catch those mice because there is likely more than one coming into your home. However, you don't want to make the mistake of putting the traps too close together, because one mouse may see a dead mouse and not stick around for too long. Try spacing the traps far apart so that you can catch the mice off guard.

Hi there, my name is Taylor Stone. Ant problems do not just go away on their own. I thought that keeping my home clean would eliminate ants from the premises after they stopped finding food lying about. Boy was I wrong about that. The ants kept streaming inside the home in tiny lines that caused me great distress. The ants went into my pantry and even tried to go into the fridge. I eventually had to call in pest control experts to remove these critters from the vicinity. I was astonished at how quickly and efficiently the pest control experts worked to resolve this trying problem. They got more done in a few weeks than I could accomplish in a year's time. I hope to share the benefits of hiring a pest control expert immediately upon noticing a problem. Thank you.
